Commercial Services
Given its leading role in port operations and service provision, the company has leveraged its capabilities and available resources commercially by offering certain services within its area of expertise and activity to entities outside the ports it operates, based on a contract concluded and signed for this purpose. The services provided in this regard include the following:
- Rental of marine tugboats and floating cranes.
- Marine firefighting services.
- Diving operations.
- Dredging and marine surveying of ports and waterways using the dredger Tarhuna
and the survey vessel.
- Rental of service and pilot boats.
- Rental of land cranes and marine units within ports and provision of towing and tugboat services for marine vessels belonging to other entities, either for maintenance or for logistical purposes related to the implementation of other projects in the maritime sector. The company is also prepared to provide dredging and dredging services for port basins using the dredger "Tarhuna," which has a total capacity of 500 cubic meters. Contracts have previously been awarded for the execution of several dredging projects in some commercial and oil ports, as well as the iron and steel port. In addition, the Libyan Ports Company provides marine surveying services for port basins using the marine survey vessel "Al-Irada 4." The company also rents out various types of land cranes for carrying out specific works within the port area.
